Kansas City, Mo. —November 19, 2019— Kirk Presley, founding member of the Presley & Presley law firm, has been elected to the 16th Circuit Judicial Commission on November 12, and sworn in on November 19, 2019.
The commission is responsible for interviewing all applicants for judicial vacancies and recommending a panel of three to the Missouri governor for a final selection. The commission is comprised of two lay members appointed by the governor, two members elected from active Missouri bar members who reside in Jackson County, and is chaired by the presiding judge of the Missouri Western District Court of Appeals, currently the Honorable Karen King-Mitchell.
