Kirk Presley, a founding member of the Presley & Presley law firm, is one of this year’s recipients of the ICON Honors awarded by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. The ICON Honors, awarded annually, recognize distinguished men and women aged 60 or older who have demonstrated notable, sustained success and strong leadership within and outside the field of law.
With over 40 years of experience and nearly 100 jury trials, Kirk is a nationally recognized trial attorney who takes on insurance companies and large corporations to bring justice to victims of semi-truck and auto crashes, airplane and helicopter crashes, carbon monoxide poisoning, and dangerous consumer products. In doing so, he has won numerous record-setting verdicts and settlements and has helped change business practices to protect the public. In addition, Kirk is a leading voice in the insurance bad faith realm, working with clients and attorneys nationwide to combat unfair claims handling practices and maximize recoveries to both claimants and insureds.
Kirk’s expertise in personal injury and insurance bad faith claims have led to numerous awards and recognition, including Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America, the National Trial Lawyers Bad Faith Top 10, Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s Power List of personal injury attorneys, Super Lawyers, and the Kansas City Business Journal’s Best of the Bar.
He also represents the Western District of Missouri on the Appellate Judicial Commission which is responsible for providing a panel of three applicants to the Governor for all Missouri Supreme Court and district appellate court vacancies.
This year’s ICON Honors winners will be honored June 13 in Fenton, Missouri.
